Mike & Frankie, thank you for your welcoming help on our arrival, you were both fantastic. What an awesome venue beautifully cared for & provided us an alpine(ish) experience! The long Mynd is superb with Wales right out the door.

Have been here before and never disappointed us. Very kind people and a beautiful area. Even with the heavy rainfall and flash floodings, Mike stayed very polite and positive. We helped where we could, and they made sure we had everything we needed. Wee’ll definately return here!

First time of staying and very impressed with the place. Very cosy, we completed several challenging walks and it was great to return to the comfort of the Bunkhouse. Good idea to have a board naming the occupants & the three different dorms. Surprised on Tuesday to have an extra body in dorm but name not on board.

Very comfortable and clean. Well equipped kitchen and shower room. Perfect Location! def be back. Only downside- which was a slight issue for me- windows don’t open in the ‘girls dorm’ upstairs so it was quite stuffy.
Kate 22/8/24
Sorry to hear you were uncomfortable Kate. You can open the Velux windows (over the Bunks). If it’s raining, just open them enough to get air-not water, also there is a fan that can be used. Mike & Frankie
Return I did. This time for a week, and I still wish I could stay for longer. I recommend going on the shuttle bus to Snailbeach. Then stop at the Bog for a cuppa & cake.

This has been a wonderful place to stay, and I’ll be back! Great base for hiking and making use of the Shuttle Bus. However, too hot during the first couple of nights and a little shelf for top bunks would be great if they could be incorporated. Thank you!

Great location for walking in the Shropshire hills. We enjoyed tea at Berry’s in Church Stretton and walks across the Lawley, Little Caradoc, Caer Caradoc and up Jonathon’s Hollow.
